After The Telegraph newspaper in Calcutta, India highlighted the poor state of the ICU of Patna Medical College and Hospital, the state health department directed the hospital to act immediately to remedy the situation. In response, they procured the necessary gizmos to upgrade their operations, including five health monitors, five ventilators, and two ultrasonography (USG) machines.

This should allow the doctors working in the emergency ward to keep tabs on the health condition of many more patients. The Telegraph had previously reported that only five out of 17 monitors were functional in the ICU, only four out of 17 infusion pumps worked, and only 1 ventilator out of six was usable. Several of the doctors who worked there alleged that the mortality rate of patients in the unit was over 90% due to the lack of proper equipment. The new ventilators are especially important, because doctors say that many of the patients brought there for emergency treatment need proper oxygen supply.

Chef Gordon Ramsay is launching a range of kitchen cookware this fall, which will be on display and sold exclusively at the discount US retailer Kmart. Contrary to the belief of several, Ramsay, the owner of London's high end restaurant Petrus, informs that the range of kitchen cookware will be priced reasonably so that more users can transform home cooking into fine dining experiences.
Ramsay gained popularity as a global Chef because of hosting programs like Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef on television. He is known to have lent his name to a line of glassware, plates and pots, teaming up with Royal Doulton in the past. With the new kitchen cookware range, he will join the likes of Jamie Oliver who also have their own lines of kitchen cookware.

A guy named Kim Rafter has succeeded in giving the dog named gizmo back to his to rightful owner. He further added that "We love Gizmo and he has been taken care of by us for seven long years. Gizmo is a part of our family and it would be quite distressing for us to lose her," said Rafter.
Gizmo is a shi-tzu who's facing a custody battle which started seven years ago when Rafter was in school. Rafter was unaware of the fact that gizmo belonged to Andrew Navarrette, and he lost him seven years back.
Navarrett said he had left the dog out in the back yard for his potty jobs and found it missing when he went back to get him.
