For one thing, a great cell phone needs to be able to link into the new 4g networks. While the g's in a network are very technical in nature, the more g's there are the faster data can travel to and from the phone. Nowadays, you really don't need a computer go online, check your e-mail, book tickets, do research or whatever. Your phone can do all of these things, from any place where you can get regular talk service. Therefore, unless you like to go on hikes deep into the woods or get in your boat and sail away, you should have no trouble getting online and finding whatever you're looking for.
Another need to have feature of a great cell phone these days is storage space. It goes hand in hand with the fact that most of today's phones also have a camera in them. So once you take the picture, the want to be able to store it. And since most phones are like miniature computers, you can download all sorts of different programs to work and play with. The more hard drive space you have, the more programs you can keep. You may never use them all, but they're nice.
